Classic Honda

Classic Honda

The Honda motor vehicle company started life as a piston ring manufacturer with Soichiro Honda in the driving seat. It was his factory that, after the second Great War, that produced a very basic motorcycle as the country had been ravaged by war and basic transport was very much needed. Honda attached a motor engine to a bicycle and Honda had its first, if a bit shabby, classic Honda motor cycle. It was cheap and efficient and that was all that was needed in the aftermath of war, but a new age was just around the corner that would prove fruitful for Honda.

Soichiro Honda had a great passion for motor sport having been a race driver he decided to enter five of his sports bikes into the Isle of Man TT race and in 1961 the team had their first win in the 125 and the 250 with Mike Hailwood being the rider.

When people talk about classic Honda they usually will go on to talk about the CB range or the GL or Gold Wing models. The classic Honda gold wing was first delivered to the public in the mid seventies, it was a 1000 flat four cylinder engine and front and back disc brakes perfect for touring. Riders added luggage carriers to the bikes and set off around the world in luxurious comfort. The CBR series are designed and built to replicate the Honda team sport bikes for road users, these bikes range from a 150 engine up to 1100.

We aim to have the best classic Honda motorcycles for sale in good and original condition and we are always looking to buy good or exceptional examples. We buy most of our bikes in the UK, although we will consider European and North American origin machines too.
